KIDS SHOWS

I was Showrunner and Executive Producer for MADAGASCAR A LITTLE WILD, the 52-episode prequel series to the popular “Madagascar” animated film franchise. The show received a number of award nominations and wins, among them Emmys, Annies, GLAAD Media Awards, and multiple Kidscreen International Screen Awards. The show is notable for being the first ever animated program in which a Deaf performer (Shaylee Mansfield) has been credited for a signing performance (a sign-over).

From 2017 to 2023 I was lucky to have found a home at Dreamworks TV where I got to write episodes of some of their most beloved shows, including KUNG FU PANDA: THE PAWS OF DESTINY, SPIRIT: RIDING FREE, and HOME: ADVENTURES WITH TIP & OH.

I was already a huge fan of the smart, funny, educational-in-the-best-way ODD SQUAD when one of the creators, Tim McKeon, asked if I’d write an episode for them. This episode was a total joy to write. It also taught me about tessellation!

Disney’s WANDER OVER YONDER starring Jack McBrayer was one of the sunniest, sweetest, most optimistic shows I’ve written for. It holds a special place in my heart as 1) it was the first time I got to attend the Emmys as a nominee, and 2) the cereal bar outside the writers’ room was OFF THE CHARTS.

One of my coolest jobs was writing for Nickelodeon’s cult hit, O’GRADY. To this day, meeting fans of the show leaves me feeling a little bit like a rock star. One of my episodes (“Old Cold”, co-written by me and Jack Ferraiolo) was nominated for an Annie Award. Sadly, we lost to a certain Squarepants-wearing Sponge, which why I now use an old sweat sock to wash my dishes.
